New Enobio software version 2.5
The latest release of the Enobio software is now official. The software built 2.5 comes with a new firmware upgrade therefore the combination of the two makes the release Enobio 1.6 built 2.5. The new software can only be used with the latest Enobio devices, so if you bought your Enobio before September 2010, please keep using the built 2.4 software.
The basic improvement is the perfection of the algorithm to remove offset change artefacts from the recorded data.
We also added a firmware version control mechanism in order to provide better support to future customers. This way when the customer has a problem with the Enobio kit they can open the Settings panel, look at the version and include that when they contact us for support.
Finally a widely requested feature has been implemented in this version.
Streaming is not halted automatically when a channel cannot be calibrated. In previous versions the streaming was stopped if any of the selected channels could not calibrate and this was a nuisance for some clients while recording files.
Users requested that streaming and therefore recording is uninterrupted and a warning is shown to notify the user that there is something wrong with one or more of the electrodes. Then the user can readjust the electrode, recover the good contact, and through the Settings window, select the channel for calibration again.

Will the new offset algorithm
Will the new offset algorithm (and streamer upgrade) be eventually supported for pre-September 2010 versions of Enobio?
Thanks,

Hi Kiel, The functionality to
Hi Kiel,
The functionality to not stop the stream if the calibration has not been successful has been added to the software you are using for your device, it s the file found under Enobio 1.5 b2.4 in the download area.
Unfortunately the new offset correction algorithm cannot be applied to Enobio constructed before september 2011, unless they are sent back to starlab and have the firmware upgrade. It depends on firmware so it cannot be resolved only with a new software release.
